    Why Get A Second Opinion?

Over half of the surgeries we perform involve redoing other surgeons’ work.

Usually, it’s not because something bad happened in the previous surgery, it’s because it was not the right surgery for the patient.

It is so important to do the right surgery from the very beginning. This is where you have the best chance of having a good outcome and a pain-free life. Every time you have to go back there is more risks you have to deal with her more scar tissue and the outcomes are not as good and predictable.

The uniqueness of our collaborative practice of spine experts is that it allows us to have great outcomes for our patients is the fact that all of our spine providers are fellowship trained physicians, we have done over 10,000 spine procedures and we make our decision on what’s best for the patient-our collaborative and comprehensive team approach allows us to offer both nonsurgical and surgical care specialist to ensure the right treatment for our patients.

It’s a trivial but very important philosophy of our practice: we don’t recommend to the patient something we would not recommend to our family member or a close friend. We encourage you to get a second opinion from us before starting any treatment recommended by another physician whether conservative or surgical. We take pride in our comprehensive ethical approach of high expertise and very extensive experience in the treatment of the spine conditions.

How The MRI Review Process Works

This process will allow us to learn more about your symptoms, diagnosis, treatments, your medical history and more fully understand your specific situation. At this time we will give you the opportunity to ask any questions so that we can provide you with the most confidence and trust as possible for you and your family.

If you’ve had an MRI and/or CT scan of your low back or your neck we ask that you submit it to our team. Your imaging will be reviewed and we will review with you via phone free of charge or we can arrange a video conference with one of our medical professionals. We will try to ensure that you get the right treatment the first time or that we provide you the most effective treatment to address ongoing dysfunction you are dealing with as a result of a previous unsuccessful procedure. If you live near one of our locations in southern Nevada or Northern Arizona you are more than welcome to come into our clinic to meet with our doctors and discuss your treatment options in person as well. Just let our team know that you would like to schedule an in-person consultation.

Once we have reviewed your personalized treatment options and discussed our recommendations you can decide how you would like to proceed. If you are interested in proceeding we can review your insurance and deal with your insurance company directly, so you do not have to deal with that burden. You simply provide us with a copy of the front and back of your insurance card and submit to us and we will provide you with a clear estimate of your estimated insurance expenses.

If surgery is indicated, the next step If you have decided to proceed with surgical intervention then you will be contacted by our surgical team coordinator and a more detailed medical history will be completed and we will go over your pre-operative testing that is needed and help you coordinate this with your team of physicians. At this time we can also proceed with scheduling your proceed and ensuring that all your questions have been answered to your highest level of satisfaction.
